Course structure
The Level 2 Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification qualification can normally be completed over a four days period and the Level 3 Building Regulations for Electrical Installations in Dwellings (including Part P)qualification can normally be completed in one day. The assessment qualifications normally consists of a combination of both practical and theory examinations
Course Contents
  • Part P covers the building regulations for electrical work in Dwellings in England Only and it cover EAL Level 2 Fundamental Inspection, Testing & Initial Verification for domestic dwellings.
  • The course and assessment is based upon the 17th edition wiring regulations BS 7671:2008+A3:2015.
  • This course includes theory and practical training to ensure that simple and safe installation, inspection, Testing and Initial Verification practices are established from the start and followed throughout their duration.
Prerequisite
  • Applicants should have previous experience in the installation and maintenance of domestic electrical installations. Applicants for the full scope assessment are required to hold the defined scope qualification.
  • Candidates wishing to take Part P re-assessment must have held the assessment element previously and can complete in One day only.
Achievement on completion
On successful completion of assessment, candidate will gain the EAL Level 2 Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification (603/0144/2) and EAL Level 3 Building Regulations for Electrical Installation in Dwellings (Including Part P) 603/0149/1 Certificates.
