Course structure
The Fundamental of electrics, safe isolation, Fundamental Inspection & testing and Building Regulations for Electrical Installations in Dwellings (including "Part P") can normally be completed over a five days period. The assessment normally consists of a combination of both practical and theory examinations.
Course Contents
  • Domestic electrical installer Part P course covers the building regulations for electrical work in Dwellings in England Only, Fundamentals of Electrics, Safe Isolation and Fundamental Inspection & Testing for domestic dwellings.
  • The course and assessment are based upon the 18th edition wiring regulations BS 7671:2018.
  • This course includes theory and practical training to ensure that simple and safe installation, inspection, Testing, and Initial Verification practices are established from the start and followed throughout their duration.
  • The course is designed for New Entrant candidates but previous experience in domestic electrical installations is recommended.
Achievement on completion
On the successful completion of the assessment, the candidate will gain the Domestic Electrical Installer certificate which includes Fundamental of electrics, Safe isolation, Fundamental Inspection & Testing and Building Regulations for Electrical Installation in Dwellings (Including Part P).
