  • The Water Industry offers full Approved Contractor status to contractors who hold an appropriate plumbing related qualification, and who can demonstrate the required knowledge of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 (England and Wales), the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009 and the Water Supply
    (Water Fittings) (Scotland) Byelaws 2014 (hereafter referred to as “Regulations/Byelaws”) by successfully completing suitable a water industry recognised training and assessment.
    The purpose of this recognised training is to provide you with an overview of the various pieces of legislation and standards that are associated with the design installation, operation and maintenance of pluming systems, water fittings and water-using appliances in most types of premises.

    Water Regulations Certification is essential for any plumber looking to apply to their local Water Authorities “Water Industry Approve Plumber Scheme”, a Plumbing CPS Or MCS Registration Body. 

    The plumbing and water fittings regulation content and assessment within the ‘AdSkillsWater (Fittings) Regulations and Byelaws covering the UK & NI (WR1.4)’ qualification
    means:
    a. That it is an appropriate Water Fittings Regulations qualification to enable a contractor to join the WIAPS Approved Plumber Sector, subject to the entry
    criteria of that Sector Scheme.
    b. “The plumbing and water fittings regulation content and assessment within the ‘AdSkills Water (Fittings) Regulations and Byelaws covering the UK & NI (WR1.4)’ qualification are recognised by Water Regs UK as meeting the minimum requirements of competency required for entry into the WIAPS Approved Plumber Sector, subject to the entry criteria of that Sector Scheme. Water Regs UK does not accept any liability for the provision of this course.”

    • Qualified as a Gas or Oil engineer or
    • An NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent

     

  • Achievement Upon Completion

  • Upon successful completion, the Candidate will receive a Certificate of Competence from AdSkills Certification.
