How is this Qualification Delivered?
The qualification can be delivered completely at the Centre, with a mix of workshop and theory sessions.
How is this Qualification Assessed?
The assessment involves one on-screen open book exam (IET GN3) and practical assessments covering initial inspection, earth fault loop impedance testing, insulation resistance testing, and commissioning of a three phase rig.
This qualification, along with the Level 3 QCF Award in the Period Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations Qualification is equivalent to the previous City & Guild 2391 Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations Qualification

- Initial Inspection
- Earth Fault Loop Impedance Testing
- Insulation Resistance Testing
- Commissioning of Three Phase Systems (Candidates will need to have a copy and should study this before attending the course)

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification although learners have the potential to achieve the qualification.
Upon successful completion of the Assessment, the candidate will receive a Certificate of Competence from EAL or City & Guild.
