  • Advance 4 Training delivers this qualification for those who maintain the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre.

    The Candidate will:

    • Understand the Context and Principles of Internal Quality Assurance
    • Understand How to Plan the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment
    • Understand Techniques and Criteria for Monitoring the Quality of Assessment Internally
    • Understand How to Internally Maintain and Improve the Quality of Assessment
    • Understand How to Manage Information relevant to the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment
    • Understand the Legal and Good Practice Requirements for the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment.

    All learning outcomes in this unit must be assessed using methods appropriate to the candidate IQA’s performance.

    These must Include:

  • This Level 4 Qualification will cover Two Units:

    • (QLDR4/004): Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment
    • (QLDR4/005): Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment

    Total 90 Guided Learning Hours are required to achieve this qualification



  • Course Content
  • This EAL assessment route is intended to assess the performance of a learning and development practitioner with responsibility for the internal quality assurance of assessment.

    This Assessment Route encompasses the following Learning Outcomes:

    • Plan the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment
    • Internally Evaluate the Quality of Assessment
    • Internally Maintain and Improve the Quality of Assessment
    • Manage Information relevant to the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment
    • Maintain Legal and Good Practice Requirements when Internally Monitoring and Maintaining the Quality of Assessment

    There are no knowledge requirements in this assessment route.

    There must be valid, authentic and sufficient evidence for all the assessment criteria. Holistic assessment is encouraged, and one piece of evidence may be used to meet the requirements of more than one assessment criterion.

    Evidence must come from the Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) candidate’s performance in the work environment. There must be evidence of the IQA candidate monitoring a minimum of two assessors, each with a minimum of two candidates of their own, through components of a qualification.


     

  • Prerequisite

  • Learners should have the potential to achieve the units selected within this qualification. Learners must have the minimum levels of Literacy and Numeracy to comply with the Health and Safety aspects of the scheme, the completion of the Learning Outcomes and the Assessments.

    Upon successful completion of the assessment, the candidate will receive an EAL Level 3 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (QCF) 501/2056/6
