  • Advance 4 Training offers this qualification for those personnel involved in the electrotechnical sector such as Electricians, Designers and Inspectors who wish to update their knowledge to the IET Wiring Regulations Eighteenth Edition and for those learners who wish to gain an understanding of BS 7671.

    This award gives the learner an understanding of the application of the IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition. It provides a facility for individuals working in the electrotechnical sector to develop and/or enhance their knowledge of the Requirements for Electrical Installation.

    How is this qualification delivered?

    The qualification covers the full content of IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 Edition. The Regulations apply to the design, erection and verification of electrical installations, and also additions and alterations to existing installations.

    How is this qualification assessed?

    The learner will be assessed against this qualification by one 60 question on-screen multiple choice exam. Grading for this qualification: Pass/Fail. At the end of course Candidates will complete a 2-hour Online Assessment in the format of Multiple Choice questions.


    Course Content

    This Course is:
    • Focused on the Wiring Regulations Standard BS7671:2018+A2:2022
    • Classroom Based Training, No Practical Training involved

     

    Prerequisite

    Learners must be at least 16 years old. There are no formal entry requirements for the qualifications. However, learners must have the potential to achieve all aspects of the qualification. In particular, learners should be able to demonstrate that they have the minimum levels of literacy and numeracy required for the completion of the learning outcomes and the assessment.
     

    Achievement Upon Completion

    Upon successful completion, the Candidate will receive a Certificate of Competence from City & Guild or EAL.
